  • 2 pkg. frozen, petit peas (tiny size)
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. celery, cut Chinese style
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • water chestnuts, sliced
  • almonds, slivered

Directions

    Boil peas, water, celery and bouillon cubes together for 4 or 5 minutes.

    Make a paste of the cornstarch and 1/2 cup of water. Add to hot vegetable mixture.

    Cook until thickened.

    Just before serving, add sliced water chestnuts and slivered almonds to suit taste.

    Serves 6 to 8.
