- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- caraway seed
Directions

1Mix all dry ingredients.

2Crumble in margarine with fingers. Add raisins and caraway seed.

3Beat egg and milk together.

4Add to dry mixture, retaining 1 teaspoon.

5Makes stiff dough.

6Roll out and put in a round pan.

7Make at cross on top and brush with leftover egg mix.

8Bake at 375° for 1 hour.

9For 3 small loaves, bake 1/2 hour.
