- 3 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten well
- 1 (1/2 c.) stick butter or margarine
- 1 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. golden and dark raisins, mixed
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, milk and flour sifted with baking powder and salt.

3Mix alternately, then add the raisins.

4Sprinkle top with sugar.

5Bake in floured and greased loaf pan for 1 hour.

6Test for doneness.

7May take a little longer.

8Remove from oven; brush top with butter.

9Remove from pan.

10Cool 10 minutes on rack.
