- 2 c. flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 heaping tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients in bowl.

2Make well in center.

3Add milk slowly, mixing to biscuit consistency.

4Knead a few times on floured board until mixture sticks together.

5Roll out 1/2-inch thick and slash opening in center (or cut with cutter for individual servings).

6Heat oil in heavy skillet (hot, but not smoking) 1/4 to 1/2-inch deep.

7Cook dough until brown on underside.

8Turn and brown other side.

9Drain on paper towels. Serve warm or hot.

10Split and spread with butter, jam, honey or maple syrup.
