- 2 granulated yeast pkts Dry, or 2 cakes compressed yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar Spoon
- water cup Lukwarm
- 8 cups flour sifted
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 egg yolk beaten with:
- 1 teaspoon water
- coarse salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast and sugar in water.

2Combine with remaining ingredients.

4Knead until smooth and soft.

5Let rest for 10 min.

7Shape into bagels by pinching off pieces of dough.

8Roll each piece into a rope 1/2 inch thick and 6 inches long.
