- 1 (3 lb.) boneless beef round rump roast
- 1 can beef broth
- 1/2 c. water
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. oregano
- crushed red pepper to taste
- black pepper to taste
- 3 green bell peppers, sliced thinly
Directions

1Cook roast, uncovered, in 325° oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours; do not overcook or meat will be tough.

2Chill roast at least 2 hours. Save pan juices, skimming fat.

3Combine pan

4juices, beef broth, water, garlic, oregano, red pepper and black pepper in 3-quart saucepan.

5Bring to a boil.

6Add thinly sliced roast and green peppers.

7Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.

8Serve on hot hoagie buns.
