- 5 lb. sirloin or rump roast, sliced thin and tied
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. sweet basil
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. bay leaves
Directions

1Mix 4 cups of water and all seasonings in a roaster pan. Place roast in pan and bake in oven at 325° for 3 to 4 hours. Baste roast occasionally; cut string the last 1/2 hour of cooking and baste well with juices.

2Put roast and juices in a crock-pot and cook until the meat falls apart in strings.

3Serve on French, Italian bread or hot rolls.
