Ingredients

  • 5 to 7 lb. beef roast
  • 2 to 3 c. water
  • 3 bouillon or 1 Tbsp. instant bouillon
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 3 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Directions

    Roast beef at 325°, uncovered, until rare.

    Cool and slice thinly.

    To pan drippings, add rest of ingredients and simmer 15 minutes.

    Add sliced beef and simmer for 5 hours.

    Serve on buns or sliced French bread.
