- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. anise or vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Cream sugar with butter in mixer.

2Add eggs and flavoring. Sift flour, salt and baking powder.

3Fold dry ingredients into other mixture.

4Shape into a flat loaf on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 18 to 20 minutes.

5Take out and cut into slices.

6Put back into oven and brown 10 minutes.
