- 1 (1 lb.) loaf bread, cut lengthwise
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/3 c. olive oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
Directions

1Mix garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper; pour over each half of bread.

2Sprinkle onion and tomato over halves; cover with cheese. Bake at 500° until edges of bread are brown and cheese melts.

3Cut in 1-inch slices.
