Ingredients
- 7 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. anise seed
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/2 c. sherry or white wine
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
Directions

1In a large pot, mix dry ingredients together.

2Form a well in center and add eggs and oil.

3Mix yeast and warm water; let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

4Add yeast to well.

5Knead until dough is firm.

6Place on cookie sheet covered with a clean, dry towel to rise (approximately 8 hours).

7Bless dough and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.

8Makes 2 to 3 loaves according to size.
