Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger/Italian sausage
  • 1 (8 oz.) pepperoni
  • 1 large jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 small can water
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 1 large pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (24 oz.) cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 to 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley
  • salt and pepper (if desired)

Directions

    Brown hamburger/sausage, onion, salt and pepper; set aside. Mix spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water, minced onion and Italian seasoning; simmer 30 minutes.

    Add meat and simmer an extra 30 minutes.

    Mix cottage cheese, Mozzarella cheese, eggs and parsley.

    Cook noodles as directed on package. Layer noodles, sauce, meat mixture, pepperoni and cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes in a large baking pan.
