  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage, out of casings
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 10 ounces cream cheese room temp
  • 5 tablespoons pesto
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 box penne cooked
  • fresh basil

Directions

    Brown meat and drain

    In a skillet, cook onion. Add meat back to skillet. Add sauce and pesto. Bring to a simmer.

    Cook pasta.

    After simmering for 15 mins, remove from heat, stir in cream cheese and shredded cheese.

    Serve over cooked pasta, or toss with pasta.

    Garnish with basil
