- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage, out of casings
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 10 ounces cream cheese room temp
- 5 tablespoons pesto
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 box penne cooked
- fresh basil
Directions

1Brown meat and drain

2In a skillet, cook onion. Add meat back to skillet. Add sauce and pesto. Bring to a simmer.

3Cook pasta.

4After simmering for 15 mins, remove from heat, stir in cream cheese and shredded cheese.

5Serve over cooked pasta, or toss with pasta.

6Garnish with basil
