  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 3 egg yolks, beaten well, adding enough water to make 1 cup

Directions

    Mix all ingredients into a ball.

    Roll dough between wax paper, making a crust for a 10 x 13 inch pan and leaving enough dough for lattice on top.

    Line the dough on bottom and sides of pan. Pour in filling.

    Make lattice for top.

    Bake at 350° until knife comes out clean (as a custard pie).

    Use a glass pan to make it easy to store.
