  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 qt. whole canned tomatoes
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano or more (if desired)
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp. basil leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • salt and pepper to individual taste
  • garlic to individual taste

    Brown beef and drain well.

    Simmer slowly 1 hour or more, depending on how much time you have.
