- 4 lb. boneless chuck roast
- 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
- 6 large carrots
- 8 potatoes
- 2 c. water
- salt and pepper
- flour
- 3 Tbsp. oil
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Flour roast on all sides and brown in hot oil.

3Salt and pepper both sides.

4Place in large skillet or roasting pan.

5(I use a No. 12 skillet.)

6Cut up potatoes and carrots to bite size and place around the roast.

7Pour water over meat and vegetables.

8Pour 1 package Lipton soup mix over entire preparation.

9Cover and place in preheated oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

10Add hot water if needed for additional gravy.
