  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. seedless blackberry jam
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time and beat well. Sift flour, soda and spices together.

    Add to butter and sugar mixture alternately with buttermilk.

    Add jam last, beating only enough to mix well.

    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350°.
