  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) box raisins
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar jam
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar, alternate flour and buttermilk.

    Add eggs, soda, spices and cocoa.

    Fold in raisins and nuts. Bake in layer pans at 350° for 35 minutes.
