- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 c. blackberry jam
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream margarine and brown sugar together.

3Add eggs and buttermilk.

4Sift flour and add to baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves.

5Beat into creamed mixture. Fold in jam and nuts.

6Grease and flour 9-inch tube pan.

7Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
