- 1 c. raisins
- 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. blackberry jam
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Soak raisins in pineapple overnight.

2Sift together dry ingredients.

3In large mixing bowl, cream butter and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Add jam, butter, brown sugar and milk; blend well.

5Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in raisins and pineapple mixture and nuts.

6Bake in two greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.

7Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until tests done.

8Cool 10 minutes on wire rack; frost with following icing.
