Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 c. rice (not instant)
  • 1/4 c. medium-hot salsa
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 drops of Tabasco sauce
  • 1 tsp. margarine
  • 1 small can tomato sauce

Directions

    Mix rice, water and margarine together; cook 20 minutes.

    Brown sausage, onion and green pepper; drain fat.

    Add can of tomato sauce and kidney beans (drained).

    When rice is cooked, add sausage mixture together, then add salsa.

    Mix all together.

    This is spicy.

    You can use regular sausage if you don't like real spicy food.

    Serve with a green salad.
