- 3 eggs beaten
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 lb. butter, soften
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups self rising flour
- 1/2 box raisins
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1 cup nuts chopped
Directions

1Beat eggs and sugar together, add butter, beat until creamy. Add milk and flour alternately.

2Mix well.

3Divide batter into halves.

4Leave one half plain.

5To other half add raisins, cinnamon, cloves, and nuts.

6Mix well.

7Makes 4 8 inch layers. Makes

82 light layers and 2 dark layers.

9Bake at 350° until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

10Turn out on wire rack to cool.
