Japanese Style Chicken

Ingredients
- 1/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 lb. frying chicken pieces
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. Japanese-style vegetables
- hot cooked rice
Directions

1Combine flour, salt and pepper; dredge chicken pieces.

2Heat oil in large skillet; add chicken and brown well on both sides. Turn chicken skin side up and add water.

3Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 30 minutes.

4Place chicken on a platter and keep warm. Add soy sauce and vegetables to skillet.

5Bring to a full boil over medium heat, separating vegetables with a fork; stir until sauce cubes are blended.

6Reduce heat; cover and simmer 3 minutes. Serve over chicken with rice, if desired.
