"Jiffy" Peanut Clusters

  • 1 pkg. chocolate or butterscotch pudding mix (not instant)
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • peanuts (salted ones may be used; other nuts may be used)

Directions

    Mix in a saucepan all ingredients.

    Cook and stir to a full boil.
  3. 3
    Lower heat and keep stirring while mixture boils slowly 3 minutes.
  4. 4
    Remove from heat.
  5. 5
    Stir in all at once 1 cup peanuts. Beat until candy starts to thicken.
  6. 6
    Drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper to form clusters.
  7. 7
    Using butterscotch makes delicious pralines.
