- 2 lb. Jonathan apples, cored and thinly sliced
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour, divided
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
- 6 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 3/4 c. quick cooking oats
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Generously coat a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with margarine.

3Place apple slices in large bowl.

4Sprinkle with sugar, 1 tablespoon flour and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

5Toss to coat, then pour into baking dish.

6In medium bowl, combine margarine, remaining 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon cinnamon and nutmeg until crumbly.

7Stir in oats.

8Sprinkle over apples, making sure edges are covered.

9Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
