  • 8 c. water
  • 12 c. sugar
  • 1 qt. Christian Brothers brandy
  • 3/4 c. instant Folger's coffee (Colombian)
  • 6 vanilla beans

Directions

    Stir sugar and water until sugar dissolves and it boils.

    Add coffee; mix well.

    Remove from heat.

    Add brandy.

    Pour into dark bottles over vanilla beans (2 beans per decanter).

    Age at least 3 months.

    Proof doubles every 6 months.

    Makes 1 gallon.
