  • 2 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 c. Yuban instant coffee
  • 1 fifth of vodka or brandy
  • 3 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean, cut in 1-inch pieces or 1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract

Directions

    Dissolve coffee in hot water.

    Add sugar and heat until dissolved and clear.

    Cool.

    Add vodka or brandy.

    Add vanilla bean or extract.

    Put in crock or jar.

    Age 30 days.

    Best if stored in dark bottle or cover jar with aluminum foil.
