  • 1 Duncan Hines golden butter cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 (3 3/4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 c. (scant) Kahlua
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Put cake mix in bowl.

    Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add sour cream, pudding mix, oil and vanilla.

    Mix well.

    Divide batter in half.

    To one half, add brown sugar, Kahlua and pecans.

    In a greased Bundt pan, place half of pecan mixture, then all of plain mixture, then remaining half of pecan mixture.

    Run knife through batter to marbleize slightly.

    Bake at 350° for one hour and fifteen minutes. Use any kind of glaze such as coffee glaze or buttermilk glaze. Makes a dense, rich, flavorful dessert or coffee cake.
