Kahlua Cream Bread (Abm)

  • 2 tablespoons Kahlua
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (15 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons vital wheat gluten
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • FILLING
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips, approx (see directions)

Directions

    Put all the ingredients in your bread machine in the order listed by the manufacturer EXCEPT for the chocolate chips, selecting the dough cycle.

    When the dough cycle ends, put the dough onto a lightly-floured surface. Cover with a dishcloth and let rest for 10 minutes.

    Roll the dough out into a big rectangle, and sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Approx 1 cup, more or less, and a mixture of white and chocolate chips would be neat.

    Roll it up into a loaf, and place into a lightly-buttered loaf pan, cover with the dishcloth, and let rise for 45 minutes.

    Uncover and slash the top with a knife carefullhy. Brush with milk.

    Bake at 375F for 25-30 minutes, then let cool on a cake rack.
