  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. persimmon pulp
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 c. hot water
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 c. milk

Directions

    Combine butter, sugar, pulp and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Dissolved baking soda in hot water.

    Add to pulp mixture.

    Stir well.

    Alternately add flour and milk, stirring well after each addition.

    Pour in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 275° for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
