  • 1/2 small head cabbage, shredded 1/4-inch size and cooked
  • 1 lb. potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
  • 1/4 c. heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 lb. bacon

Directions

    Cook cabbage in a small amount of water until tender.

    Peel, boil and mash potatoes with cream, salt, pepper and butter.

    Stir cooked cabbage into creamed potatoes.

    Cook the bacon until crisp and after dicing, add to the cabbage and potato mixture along with the cheese.

    Put in a casserole and bake for about 15 minutes at 350°.

    Serves 4 to 6.
