  • 1 cup milk
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter
  • 1 onion
  • 5/8 cup diced bacon cube-, heavily smoked ham
  • 2/3 cup Appenzeller cheese
  • 5/8 cup gruyere chesse
  • 5/8 cup comte chesse

    In a large bowl, mix the flour, the whole eggs, the egg whites, and the milk to obtain an even dough. Add salt at the end.

    Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes.

    Heat a large pot of water.

    Grate the dough with a cheese grater over the hot water.

    Let the dough cook in the water until the pieces float to the surface.
