- 1/2 c. dry white wine
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 c. heavy cream
- dash of grated nutmeg
- 12 oz. Gruyere cheese, grated
- 1 (10 x 2-inch) pie shell, baked
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Bring shallots and wine to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 3 minutes.

3Set aside to cool.

4Sprinkle eggs with salt and pepper; beat lightly.

5Beat in cream, nutmeg, wine and shallots.
