  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c. lime juice (6 to 8 limes)
  • 2 to 3 drops green food coloring (optional)
  • 1 (8 to 9-inch) graham cracker pie shell
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Beat egg yolks; mix thoroughly with milk.

    Fold in lime juice. Add food coloring, if desired.

    Pour into pie crust.

    Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.

    Beat in sugar gradually until stiff.

    Spread over pie and put under broiler until lightly browned.
