Ingredients
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. Swiss or Gruyere cheese, grated
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- dash of white pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Line an unbaked pie shell with pastry.

2Bake at 425° for 8 minutes.

3Remove from oven and set aside.

4In a blender combine mayonnaise, milk, eggs and cornstarch.

5Process until smooth.

6Add cheese, onion and pepper, then blend at low speed for 2 to 3 seconds; just to combine.

7Fold in crab meat.

8Pour into pastry shell and bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes until top puffs up and is golden brown.

9Remove from oven to rest 10 minutes before serving so custard can firm.

10Makes 6 to 8 servings.
