Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. alum
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 c. whole pickling spices
- 4 c. vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
Directions

1Use small to medium sized cucumbers.

2Pack tightly in a gallon jar.

3Add alum, salt, pickling spices and vinegar and fill the rest of the way with water.

4Cap and let set for one month.

5Be sure jar is glass or plastic.

6At the end of one month remove from jar and wash thoroughly.

7(Be sure to wash the jar too.)

8Cut in chunks and put back in jar.

9Add sugar.
-
10Cap and shake jar.
-
11Shake until cucumbers are covered with juice.

12Pickles are ready to eat. Refrigerate.
