  • 2 c. milk (lukewarm)
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 5 or 6 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon peel, grated (optional)
