- 1 1/2 pkg. Rapid Rise yeast
- 1/3 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 4 c. flour
- fruit pie filling, any flavor
- glaze
Directions

1Soak yeast in warm water with sugar.

2Mix milk, margarine, sugar and salt in a microwave bowl and warm until sugar is dissolved and margarine is melted.

3Cool to lukewarm and add vanilla.

4Meanwhile, beat egg in mixing bowl, add yeast mixture and milk mixture.

5Add enough flour for a soft dough.

6Cover and let rise until double in size.

7Pour out on well floured board or counter.

8Knead lightly.

9Pinch off small amount and make into rolls, place on well greased baking pan about 1/2-inch apart.

10Let rise until double in size.

11Punch down center of rolls and add fruit pie filling.

12Bake in 450° oven for 10 minutes.

13Glaze while hot.
