  • 1/2 c. shoyu
  • 1/4 c. dark or light sesame oil
  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. white sugar
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 thumb-sized pieces fresh ginger, peeled and grated or mashed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 c. mirin
  • 1 Tbsp. ground toasted sesame seed
  • 1/4 c. green onion, minced

Directions

    This marinade is enough for about 5 pounds short ribs or 6 pounds sliced rib eye steak.

    Marinate at least 8 hours or overnight, turning meat occasionally.
