Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 qt. kraut, well drained
  • 1 Tbsp. cracker crumbs
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 well beaten eggs
  • 1/4 c. milk

    Mix eggs and milk together.

    Cook sausage and onion until brown.

    Drain.

    Mix well with kraut and 4 tablespoons cracker crumbs.

    Set aside to cool.

    Combine cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic and pepper.

    Mix well and stir in sausage mixture. Chill.

    Shape into 3/4-inch balls.

    Roll balls into flour.

    Dip in egg mixture.

    Roll in cracker crumbs.

    Deep fry until golden brown; drain.
