Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread dough (honey wheat is good)
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 4 to 5 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. water or more as needed
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Thaw bread dough. In electric frypan or large skillet, brown hamburger and cabbage adding water as needed to cook.

    Stir often until all seems well done. Try to let all moisture cook off.

    Stir in seasonings. Cut dough into 4 or 6 pieces. Roll each piece out to flatten as big as possible. Divide cabbage mixture, maybe 1/4 cup or so to each.

    Fold dough over and press shut around edges. Cut 3 slits in top to let steam out.

    May let raise 30 minutes, but not too much. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes or until done.

    Good with a sauce of 1 can tomato sauce heated with 1/3 cup brown sugar. Spoon sauce in as you eat.

    Rewarms well.
