- 1 (27 oz.) can kraut, drained
- 1 1/2 c. finely chopped celery
- 3/4 c. sweet onion, finely chopped
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 red pepper, chopped
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Directions

1Cut up kraut.

2Combine with celery, onion, carrot and peppers. Dissolve sugar in oil and vinegar.

3Add celery seed.

4Pour over vegetables and toss.

5Cover; chill for several hours.

6Drain before serving (optional).

7Makes 8 servings.
