- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 pkg. coiled vermicelli
- 1 c. Minute rice
- 1 c. beef consomme or bouillon
- 1 envelope dried onion soup mix
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Cook onion soup in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes; set aside. Melt butter in a large skillet.

2Break up vermicelli and measure 2 cups.

3Brown vermicelli pieces in melted butter by stirring constantly over medium heat.

4Add 1 cup of Minute rice, consomme and onion soup.

5Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until all liquid is absorbed.

6May be made ahead and reheated in microwave.

7Goes well with grilled meat!
