- 6 shanks
- 2 lemons
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsps. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 med. onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 10.5 oz can consume
- 1 cup celery
- 1 cup carrots
- 1 tbls. fresh chopped rosemary
- 2 bay leaves
Directions

1Rub meat with lemons and let stand for 10 minutes. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Heat oil, dredge shanks w/flour and brown in oil and place shanks in casserole. Add onion and garlic to remaining oil and saute, add remaining flower and brown. Add wine and consume and stir until smooth. Pour over meat and add celery, carrots, rosemary and bay leaves. Bake covered @ 350 for 2+ hours. Serve over garlic mashed potatoes.
