- 4 lamb shanks
- 2 tablespoons fat
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
- 4 small onions or 4 small onions, sliced in rings
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 8 prunes
Directions

1Trim all fat from shanks.

2Dredge in flour with salt and pepper.

3Brown in fat in deep frying pan or dutch oven.

4Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.

5place onions and prunes on top.

6Cover and bake in a moderate oven (350) for 2 hours or until meat is tender.

7Serve sauce over shanks.
