- 1 box German Chocolate or yellow cake mix
- 6 egg yolks
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
- 1 c. fresh shredded coconut flakes
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. quartered cherries
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. bourbon (optional)
Directions

1Bake mix as directed on box.

2Let cool, split the layers once and set aside.

3Cook together the yolks, butter and sugar until thick; add the rest of ingredients and cook until it thickens again.

4Lay the first split layer on serving plate and spread the cooked ingredients over each layer.

5Do not put it on sides until you are finished and you know there is enough left over to do them.

6This cake is pretty if it doesn't have it on the sides. Also, you can place cherry halves on top of cake.
