Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped
- butter or oleo
- 1 large can tomato juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cans pinto beans
- 1 bottle Mexene chili powder
- 1 good pinch sugar
- 4 to 5 medium cloves garlic
- 2 lb. ground chuck or 1 lb. ground chuck and 1 lb. deer chili meat
Directions

1Saute onion and garlic cloves in butter or oleo.

2Brown meat. Combine onion and garlic with meat in a large pot.

3Pour in beans (you can use precooked dry pintos) and tomato juice.

4Add enough water to fill pot.

5Bring to a boil; then simmer 2 to 3 hours. Salt and pepper to taste.

6If you do not like a lot of tomato taste you can substitute 1 can of beef broth and 2 (8 ounce) cans of tomato sauce.
