Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Wesson or olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. rosemary
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 lb. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Mozzarella or Swiss cheese

Directions

    In heavy skillet, heat Wesson oil.

    Add garlic and onion and cook until soft.

    Add beef and seasonings; cook until crumbly. Mix in tomato paste and hot water; simmer 5 minutes.

    In a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish, place a thin layer of sauce, next put half the noodles, then all the Ricotta or cottage cheese and on top of that, half the Mozzarella.

    Repeat with the remaining half of noodles, sauce and Mozzarella on top.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

    Let stand out of oven for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
