Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 lb. lasagna noodles
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 12 oz. can tomato paste
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Saute beef and onions in 2 tablespoons olive oil.

    Add tomato paste, spices, salt and pepper.

    Simmer 25 minutes.

    Put in large shallow greased baking dish.

    Bake 30 minutes at 350°.

    Boil noodles and salt.

    Boil for 12 minutes.

    Add remaining olive oil and cool.

    Put a layer of noodles on greased pan.

    Add hamburger sauce, then half of the cheeses.

    Make 2 layers.

    On top layer, put a layer of noodles before last layer of Mozzarella cheese.
