- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 1/2 c. tomatoes and juice
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. sweet basil
- 1 pkg. Ricotta cheese
- 3 beaten eggs
- 8 to 10 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz. lasagna
- 3 tsp. oil
- 3 tsp. salt
Directions

1Brown together first 5 ingredients.

2Add next 5 ingredients; simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

3Mix together Ricotta cheese and eggs. Have ready the Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.

4Cook lasagna in 3 quarts boiling water, plus 3 teaspoons oil and 3 teaspoons salt.

5Add 1 to 2 strips at a time.

6Cook 3 to 4 minutes until pliable; drain, then layer as follows:

7First lasagna, meat sauce, Ricotta/eggs, Mozzarella and Parmesan; repeat.

8Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
